Bestarc offers three versions of plasma cutter: BTC450NP, BTC500DP, and BTC650DP. As the names suggest, the numerical value in the version name corresponds to the output current, and the higher the current, the greater the cutting capacity. For example, the BTC500DP has an output current of 50 amps, and when adjusted within the appropriate parameters, it can cut thicknesses of up to 16mm, which is approximately 5/16 inches.
Why "NP"? What is "DP"?
The earliest cutting product is the BTC450NP, which is currently the only non-high-frequency machine with Pilot Arc functionality. Clearly, the "N" represents a significant feature of this item, which is No-High frequency. As products evolved, the BTC450NP has gradually phased out of the market.
"NP" and "DP" share the letter "P," which stands for Pilot Arc. For a cutting machine, Pilot Arc provides better arc starting performance, cutting stability, expanded cutting thickness range, and improved cutting quality and efficiency.
The letter "D" represents Dual Voltage. Many places around the world require cutting, and the Dual Voltage design allows the machine to be used in a wider range of locations.
